Dirty Deace: The Definitive
Anti-Birther Smackdown

Straw manThe Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position.

Radio broadcaster and Canadian-born Cruz endorser Steve 'Dirty' Deace claims to have the definitive birther smackdown when in fact he puts forth an argument that a third grader could debunk. Deace misrepresents the birther argument.

Dirty Deace propagates at Conservative Review:

If you believe both parents have to be natural born to be qualified to be president, then you actually believe Millard Fillmore was the first president and not George Washington. If you believe both parents have to be natural born to be qualified to be president, then Donald Trump is also ineligible because his mother was born in Scotland and became a naturalized citizen, just like Rafael Cruz.

Deace is well aware that prominent birthers including some that have filed suits never argued that both parents have to be natural born Citizens in order for the child to be a natural born Citizen. Deace should also be aware that all Presidents eligible after the Article II grandfather clause were all born on U.S. soil to two U.S. citizen parents, except for Barack Obama and Chester Arthur, whom destroyed all his identity records shortly before his death.

Deace also shamefully cites the NATURALIZATION Act of 1790 without mentioning the important fact that five years later the act was repealed and the natural born Citizen wording was removed and replaced with just Citizen.

Deace is just as dirty and deceitful as Obama and Canadian-born Cruz.
