Show With Obama Birthplace Spin
Fox News' Bill O'Reilly opened his television show tonight with the Obama birthplace controversy.
O'Reilly insisted it would have been impossible for anyone to forge Obama's newspaper announcements.
Video of O'Reilly's opening below. The problem with that position, as pointed out by attorney Mario Apuzzo, is:
When Obama was born in 1961, Hawaii had in effect the Certificate of Hawaiian Birth Program which it established in 1911 and which it terminated in 1972. Someone could under Act 96 get a certificate claiming a Hawaiian birth even if he was physically born in a foreign country by an adult or parent falsely claiming to the director of health that he was born in Hawaii when in fact he was born abroad.
That would have generated the purported newspaper announcements O'Reilly speaks of.
At least O'Reilly didn't repeat his lies about Obama's Social Security Number reserved for Connecticut applicants.
